How to play
Hexoku is a logic puzzle inspired by Sudoku, drawn on a mosaic of triangles that form hexagons. Your goal is to color the whole board while following the rules.
Basic rules
- Six colors. Each cell (triangle) can take one of six colors, or start empty.
- 13 regions. The board is split into thirteen groups of exactly six triangles each (think “logical hexagons” labeled A–M in the game design).
- No repeats inside a region. Within one group, two colored cells cannot share the same color. When the level is complete, every region uses all six colors exactly once.
- Fixed clues. Some cells are already colored at the start—they’re part of the puzzle and can’t be changed.
- Conflicts. If you repeat a color inside a region, the game highlights it so you can fix it.
Controls
Tap a triangle to cycle through colors (or pick a color depending on your build). Use the options menu for hints, undo, or next level when available.
Tips
- Start with regions that have the most fixed clues—they often lock colors quickly.
- A triangle may sit where several shapes meet; what matters is the logical group of six cells, not only the drawn hex outline.
- If you’re stuck, one well-placed hint often unlocks the rest.
